My name is Steve and I’m a Birder, not a twitcher but a birder or birdwatcher pretty rubbish at it too. However its been a lifelong passion, Iv’e had many hobbies that have come and gone but not birding. This has stuck frome a very young age. Back in the day being a birder was anything but cool, if anyone found out, you were labeled strange even a weirdo. I was working in the design world at the cutting edge of technology and everyone was supercool, every day in meetings with top designers and design and tech companies but under the skin I was that weirdo, the strange if hip man with the big lens!
I worked with a lot of designers and one of them was becoming a very close friend. One day it slipped “I’m a birdwatcher” OMG keep your voice down. The slip was him to me and not the other way around, and he was, and a very very good one and a great photographer.
That started a life long frendship of birding together, that is until the B****** moved to Arbroath in scotland and now birds almost full time.
